My Instagram blog this week...
When we start to befriend our shadow and our ´shameful’ attributes, it can very helpful to reframe them in kind(er) words. We are so used to talking about ourselves in negative terms we don’t even notice it anymore. We bond over self-flagellation with our friends, which is even sadder. The problem is, that our cells, i.e. our bodies, are listening and every negative comment is counter-productive on our journey of increasing self-love and self-compassion. (more)
"I sought Christina’s help when I was at a very low ebb in my life having lost my job and seen my long-term eating disorder come back with a vengeance. After almost 40 years of disordered and binge-eating I wasn’t sure if I could ever overcome the issues causing it. Christina’s help has been invaluable, firstly helping me unblock long-held and toxic beliefs around food but even more importantly helping me transform my wider belief system and discover who I truly am. We have explored wide-ranging topics from childhood experiences, relationships, career and health and through it all Christina has been completely supportive, caring, compassionate and hugely insightful. With Christina’s help I am learning to demonstrate that same care and compassion towards myself, learning to love and accept myself exactly where I am, which is having a profound impact not just on my eating but on my whole life. I feel blessed to have found Christina and cannot recommend her more highly to anyone who wants to address not just an eating disorder but any issue causing them unhappiness.”

Clients typically seek assistance for the following psychological and/or physical issues: Stress/Anxiety

Overeating/Binge Eating/Comfort Eating/Emotional Eating
Oftentimes, we are looking for the "right" or "perfect" weight/physical appearance, job/salary, and/or partner . The truth is, it's not about finding the "right" anything, it's about being the "right" person. How do we do it? It's about healing and becoming whole again and thereby reconnecting to Love. It's about realising that we are enough, just the way we are, we don't need to do anything. It's about identifying when we are living from Fear and consciously reconnecting to Love.
Perception is Projection
Everything we see "out there" is a projection of ourselves, both positive and negative. It's the Law of Attraction. There is no-one else out there, we are not separate, but all interconnected. Once we fully embrace and understand this concept, we can become truly empowered to create the life we want. We no longer have to be victims of unfortunate circumstances. We no longer have to put people on pedestals. Instead, we can recognise that everything that's great about them is simply a reflection of everything that's great in us. And, likewise, when someone triggers/annoys us, especially close family members or romantic partners, we can embrace it as an opportunity to identify that part of us that isn't complete/healed (yet).
